The making of our first TV commercial
Discover how months of ideas, craft, sound, and teamwork came together to create Grassfeld’s first television and streaming commercial.

A 20-second story, three months in the making
What appears on screen for only a few seconds took months of preparation, creativity, and collaboration. This is the story of how we transformed Grassfeld’s world into a real physical set and brought our first television commercial to life.

From handcrafted props and stop-motion scenes to custom sound design and voice-over recording, every detail was created exclusively for Grassfeld!

More than a commercial
Behind the final film was a much larger production, involving dozens of people across design, film, animation, sound, and creative direction.
3 months
From ideation to production to the final film.
30+ people
Working together across multiple disciplines.
5 studio days
Dedicated to building and capturing every scene and sound.
13 hours a day
Spent preparing, lighting, filming, and audio.
Turning digital ideas into real objects
The familiar Grassfeld visual world had to move beyond the screen. App icons, illustrations, characters, and branded elements were recreated as physical objects that could exist together inside the commercial.

Preparing the physical props

Building each scene from the ground up

Adjusting the lighting for every new setup
From illustration to Mr. Piggy Banks
Piggy Banks was one of the first characters drawn for Grassfeld.
For the commercial, we transformed him from a static illustration into a physical character with movement, personality, and a world of his own.

Every small movement was carefully controlled to make Piggy feel expressive, playful, and alive on screen.
This was the first step in turning Mr. Piggy Banks into a much bigger part of Grassfeld’s world by giving him his own personality, movement, and story.
Each scene became its own small world
New props were handcrafted and added, objects were painted, lighting was adjusted, and every composition was carefully rebuilt before filming could begin.

Creating the sound of Grassfeld
The commercial was not only designed to look like Grassfeld. It also had to sound like Grassfeld. Together with a dedicated audio team, we created a complete sound identity for the brand, including the Grassfeld anthem, a recognizable logo sound, and custom audio connected to the brand’s visual language.
Grassfeld Anthem
A musical soundtrack created specifically for the Grassfeld brand.
Sound Logo
A short and recognizable sound that gives the Grassfeld logo its own tone of voice.
Brand Sound
Custom sound loop inspired by Grassfeld’s typography, colors, movement, and visual character.

MC Typhoon
Glenn de Randamie - Dutch rapper
Giving the story its voice
The final step was recording the voice-over. The commercial was voiced by a well-known Dutch rapper, bringing a familiar and distinctive voice to Grassfeld’s first television campaign.

The Final Sound
The complete audio mix brings together all the elements: the voice-over and the enhanced violin composition.

One commercial Dozens of contributors
The final film was made possible by a large group of people working across creative direction, design, illustration, animation, production, filming, lighting, sound, and voice recording.
30+ people
Working together across multiple disciplines.
