Grassfeld vs. Dyme: the key differences

Both give you an overview, but what do you do with it next?
Both Dyme and Grassfeld help you gain insight into your finances. Dyme describes itself as an app that provides a complete overview of income and expenses. The app also brings together subscriptions and fixed expenses, so you can quickly see where there may be opportunities to reduce costs.
Grassfeld offers that financial overview as well but adds another layer on top. You can set budgets, track savings goals, and manage debts and loans. Premium+ adds advanced analytics, unlimited financial reports, and shared budgets and savings goals, among other features.
Grassfeld Intelligence: the unique AI assistant
The most notable difference is Grassfeld Intelligence. The AI assistant is available in both Grassfeld Light and Premium+ and can use financial information in Grassfeld, such as your spending, budgets, and savings goals.

Suppose you want to buy a new phone for €800. A financial overview can show you how much money is in your account. But that is not the same as knowing what that purchase means for the rest of your month.
With Grassfeld Intelligence, you can ask, for example, “Can I spend €800 this month without putting my vacation savings goal and grocery budget at risk?” The assistant can use the information in Grassfeld to give you more context.
Dyme stands out for subscriptions and fixed expenses
Dyme has a very practical specialization: actually doing something about recurring costs. You can use Dyme to cancel unwanted subscriptions, and the service can negotiate a better price on your behalf for certain contracts. If a contract negotiation is successful, Dyme charges a commission equal to 30% of the annual savings.

Do you have Dyme Premium Silver or Gold? According to Dyme, you can cancel unwanted subscriptions from the app without additional cancellation fees. Without Premium, you can also use the cancellation service through the website, but Dyme charges a fee for that.
That makes Dyme attractive if your main goal is to get rid of unused subscriptions and lower your fixed expenses. There is an interesting trade-off to consider, though. Silver costs €8.99 per month, and Gold costs €12.99 per month. Especially with an app that helps you take a critical look at subscriptions, it makes sense to regularly ask yourself: do I use Dyme enough to justify my own Dyme subscription?
Grassfeld or Dyme: which one is right for you?
Do you mainly want a service that actively helps you cancel subscriptions and lower the cost of fixed contracts? Then Dyme has a clear specialization.
If you want to organize your finances more broadly and not only see where your money is going, but also better understand what that means for your plans, Grassfeld is the more obvious choice. Budgets, savings goals, debts, analytics, and financial reports all come together in one place. With Grassfeld Intelligence, you can also ask direct questions about your own financial situation.
